Spicy Daylily Stir-fry
Summary:
This is a spicy and flavorful vegetarian dish, where tender daylilies absorb the rich, aromatic seasonings in a quick stir-fry.
Ingredients:
Dried daylily 100g (soaked in water)
Red bell pepper 50g (sliced)
Soy sauce 1 tbsp
Doubanjiang (fermented chili bean paste) 1 tbsp
Vegetarian oyster sauce 1 tbsp
Salt to taste
White pepper powder to taste
Cooking oil 1 tbsp
Water as needed
Instructions:
1.Prepare ingredients:
Soak the dried daylily in water for 2 hours, then rinse and drain. Slice the red bell pepper.
2.Blanching:
Bring a pot of water to a boil, blanch the soaked daylilies for 1 minute to remove bitterness, then drain.
3.Sauté the seasoning:
Heat oil in a pan, add the doubanjiang, and stir-fry until fragrant.
4.Stir-fry daylilies:
Add the daylilies, stir-fry for 1 minute, then season with soy sauce, vegetarian oyster sauce, salt, and white pepper powder. Mix well.
5.Finish and serve:
Add the red bell pepper, stir-fry for another 30 seconds, let the sauce slightly reduce, then turn off the heat and serve hot.
